Rest areas provide a place for travellers to stop and take a break while also offering information about the tourism and attractions in the vicinity. Nowadays, rest areas’ vision and mission should be bigger, as they play an important role to increase safety and enhance road user experience. We’ve challenged ourselves to create a brand new concept for this rest area that is acceptable in all circles and age groups with the right message and precise strategy.
We came up with a brand that can be applied nationally across Indonesia. ‘Resta’, the humble abbreviation of ‘Rest Area’, became our brand name. It is the best place to pause between journeys with its iconic structure on the outside and rich culture on the inside.
The brand mark combines the elements of lounging, with the curved ‘R’ letter across the logo representing smile and relaxation. Together with Astra’s identical colour, we’ve created a feeling of comfort that invites you to rest and relax.
